First Hebrew Pentecostal, House of God, formerly called House of God, Los Angeles, Temple #1, was founded in 1942 by Mother Carrie L. Harris.  In the early years of the church’s existence, services were held in rented buildings.  The church never owned a sanctuary.

In October 2006, under the leadership of Pastor Harry L. Eaves, Jr., First Hebrew Pentecostal, House of God, was blessed to locate and purchase its very first sanctuary located at 1327 E. Mauretainia Street, in Wilmington, CA.  The church required some minor repairs and renovations.  We were blessed us to have repairs and renovations completed and new furniture purchased by the end of October – just in time for our first service in our new sanctuary on Sabbath, November 4, 2006.
